How to Maintain High-quality Pool Cue?
February 21,2021
When many of us are playing billiards, we always think about having a good time, but we rarely care about the pool cue in our hands. In fact, the maintenance of pool cue is very important. Do you know how to maintain pool cue? Although the pool cue is an object, it is also spiritual and needs our careful maintenance.
First of all, the pool cue must be kept clean. Especially don't use those inferior chalk to fall on the cue, otherwise the cue will be easily contaminated and corroded. I don’t think a professional wiper cloth is necessary, just go to the supermarket and buy a towel with a high cotton content. Bring the towel with you at any time, and immediately wipe it off if you notice that the cue is a bit unsmooth. If the pool cue is not smooth, first wipe it with a slightly damp cloth, and then immediately dry it with a dry towel.
High-end pool cues must be oiled. Olive oil and walnut oil are not as good as professional pool cue oil. I personally feel that the oiling cycle of the billiard cue is within two to three weeks, with a thin layer, and then put it aside for 24 hours, let the billiard cue fully absorb it and wipe it clean. When you find that the pool cue has enough oil, then the oiling cycle can be changed to once a month.
Again, where should the pool cue be placed? Find a relatively good billiard cue box, preferably made of leather inside, so that the absolute temperature is more uniform, and you can lay it flat on the ground.
